Note: The Chrome Extension itself does not use browser cookies. It uses chrome.storage.local — local device storage that never leaves your browser. This is covered separately in Section 3 below.

The Chrome Extension does not use browser cookies. Instead, it uses chrome.storage.local — a browser API that stores data locally on your device. This data is never transmitted to our servers unless it is explicitly part of a scan request you initiate. The following data is stored in the Extension:

You can clear all Extension storage at any time by going to Chrome Settings → Extensions → BS Inspector → Clear data, or by uninstalling the Extension entirely.
